The long Flight of Garuda - From Darmstadt to Middle Wales in four days13 July 2023

First, a little bit of history: In June 2019 Solenix launched its first balloon. It started as a company-funded pet project aimed at sending a weather balloon, together with its payload, to heights above 30 km. In the meantime, it has almost become a tradition: with each iteration we try to optimise and achieve better results.

Unlocking the Power of Machine Learning in Earth Observation04 July 2023

Solenix brought the ML4EO Course at EUMETSAT on 23-25 May 2023.

After successfully hosting the course in both 2021 and 2022, our colleagues, Sara Aparício, an Earth Observation Data Scientist, and Itziar Alonso, a Senior Remote Sensing Engineer, organised the third edition of the ML4EO course at our customer EUMETSAT's premises from 23rd to 25th May.

Solenix enjoys a fun-packed weekend in Bamberg!14 September 2022

The annual company trip took place from 16 – 17 July in the medieval town of Bamberg.

The Friday started eventful with a gathering in the office to celebrate our colleague Paulo's 12 years with Solenix! Sandwiches and drinks ensured that all were well-prepared for the bus ride to Upper Franconia. After a delicious dinner in the "Kachelofen" we met our guide who gave us a glimpse in Bamberg's rich history and it's tales and sagas. The evening ended with a tour through Bamberg's nightlife with plenty of drinks and laughter.
